Meeting Terk, Tarzan and Jane was tons of fun. Terk played around, Tarzan was constantly trying to look into every treat bag people had and discover new things and learn new words, and just like in the movie, Jane was quite the talker. That particular evening she told me all the trouble the humidity was causing her hair. Such a fun character interaction! (Please note, that you can meet Tarzan, without Terk and Jane at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.)
It’s time for another Disney Friend Friday! Only this time it’s 7 friends!
I had such a fun time meeting the 7 Dwarfs at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) this week! It’s not every day you can meet all 7 at once!… In fact, at Walt Disney World Resort you can only meet all of them together during MNSSHP and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. You can also see them walk by and give them a wave during the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park, which usually takes place at 3pm, but you should check the Times Guide or the My Disney Experience App to confirm.
Here’s some more news that’s come across my desk that I wanted to share!
This week marked the 45th anniversary of Magic Kingdom Park! Disney Parks Blog has really done a great job covering this event – including posts on new discounts, downloads, and celebrations! You can read about it all (here), (here), (here), (and here)!
This Fall my “baby” turns 3! We asked her if she wanted a birthday party with her little 3 year old friends or if we should all go to Disney on Ice…she immediately chose Disney on Ice and the whole family is thrilled! Here’s a link that will tell you all about the shows and when they’ll be near you! (read here)
Now that it’s October, the holidays are closer than ever! Did you know you can subscribe to a Disney Park Pack and receive a new Ear Hat Ornament every month?! What a great gift to yourself or another Disney fan! (read here)
This fun article takes a look at what the characters in your favorite Disney animated movies may have chosen to post on Instagram had they been able to! (read here)
There’s a chill in the air up here in the North East USA – makes me think about booking a trip somewhere warm…and a cruise on the Disney Wonder seems perfect! Disney Parks Blog gives you a special look at all the improvements and additions coming to the Disney Wonder this Fall! (read here)
Hope you enjoyed these articles – let me know which ones you liked best! I’ll keep sorting through the good and the bad to bring you the best Disney updates in My Disney Desktop!
After our first full week of school and cranky-crabby mornings, I feel like everyone in my family has been Cinderella and her step mother, Lady Tremaine, all rolled into one. Do this! Do that! Hurry up! Meanwhile each of us is doing 1,000 things to get out the door on time!
We met Lady Tremaine, her daughters, Cinderella and the Prince at 1900 Park Fare during Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Truth be told, she was far more charming than the prince! She tried earnestly to set my 5 year old son up with Anastasia and had us rolling with laughter. The buffet was incredible too – with far more selection than many of the other buffet meals we’ve indulged in.
As for school mornings…We made it through the week and I’m sure next week will be better – I keep believing that the dreams that I wish will come true!
I can’t believe it was 25 years ago that this Beauty enchanted us for the 1st time!
We love meeting with Belle! This character has such a pure heart and an equally pure singing voice! We always try to catch her on stage during Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios…but here we have a more personal encounter during Enchanted Tales with Belle at Magic Kingdom Park. This is a very special attraction where the children help tell the tale as old as time!
How’s this for a photo opportunity? What a backdrop!
My alarm going off at 6:30am used to be something I reserved for FastPass+ selection day, but now that my older kids have started their first year of school, I guess this will become the new norm! I’m adjusting sloooooooowly…
I am excited for this new school year though! Seeing my kids learn, make new friends and become more independent is very bittersweet. I also love that now I get to spend some one-on-one time with my youngest child. I’ve never had “just one” child before, with my older children being twins, so this school year is a whole new world for me (yes please feel free to start singing that, wherever you may be).
So since school is back in session, I thought I’d ask you – my wonderful readers – what you’d like to read more about! Let me know what you’d like to know more about and I will do my best to report back! Make your requests below in the comments or on my Facebook page (click here)!
It’s another Disney Friend Friday! Today let’s remember “that it was all started with a mouse.”
Oh My Disney takes a cute look at the many Disney mice we’ve come to know through the years (read here)…but we know that Mickey is our main man!…I mean MOUSE!
This photo was taken at The Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort. We spent a long and exciting morning exploring the Land Pavillion (you can read about it here) and ended it by eating a delicious family style lunch and hanging out with some Disney friends, including Mickey Mouse himself!
My family has stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort twice and we fully intend to stay there again! The family suites are the perfect size to accommodate our family of 5 and the theming can’t be beat!
Here’s a “Wordless Wednesday” type post that combines photos from my 2 stays. Please feel free to ask me any questions about my time at this resort and I’ll be happy to answer! Post comments and questions below or on my Facebook page!
