According to Time Magazine, the average American checks their phone 46 times a day! Depending on your age it may be slightly higher or lower (you can read about it here). No matter how often you check your phone, it’s still a great place to “Sprinkle Some Pixie Dust”!
Personally, I have my children as the background on my phone for the screens with the apps which I see the most. However my phone’s lock screen has this image from a fantastic trip I took to Disney World in late November:
Why not use your favorite Disney vacation photo to magically enhance your phone…and your day!? If you don’t have an image you’d like to use, you can download some Disney phone wallpapers from the Disney/Style website. Here’s a link to find some great images, including Dumbo, Zootopia, The Lion King and more!
I fully admit that either Disney Channel or Disney Jr. Channel is on the tv basically every waking moment in our home. At this point much of it has become background noise unless a new or favorite episode happens to be on. Earlier this year Disney began a new campaign called “Dream Big Princess” which encourages girls and really all children to go for their dreams and that nothing is impossible, and whenever that commercial comes on I seem to stop dead in my tracks and watch, nodding my head “YES – DREAM BIG” – that is exactly what I want for my kids! So please, encourage everyone to dream big and be a princess!! Here’s the commercial – definitely worth a watch 🙂
After a fun night at Disney Springs, my daughter and I woke up early to make sure we made it to the Magic Kingdom a half hour before it opened. “Why?” you may ask…because when you do, you not only get to see a most special show, but you are also one of the first people in the park and can ride many popular attractions with very little wait.
At 8:40am that morning the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show began. Dancers, characters and of course, Mickey himself, arrived on the Walt Disney World Railroad to sing and welcome you to the park. One lucky family is chosen daily to ride the train and join the celebration and the rest of the crowd is showered with smiles, streamers and fireworks. I have seen this show so many times and each time – even though I know it happens daily – I still feel like something special is going to happen THAT DAY. This show makes you feel like it’s opening day at Walt Disney World and that they have planned a very special day just for you!
Once the show is over the “rope drops” and the park is open! Everyone starts flooding the park – racing to get to their desired attraction. We definitely were girls on a mission, but I always like to be sure to take Continue Reading
So…if you celebrate Easter it’s VERY easy to add some Disney into your holiday. To start, my kids each have a pail to collect their eggs in during their scavenger hunt that have the faces of 2 of my faves:
My daughter (age 5) and I were fortunate enough to take some time away together for our first ever Mommy/Daughter weekend. After settling into the Pop Century resort we started our evening of activities at Disney Springs, Disney World’s downtown district that is filled with shops, restaurants, shows and fun! Our resort bus dropped us off at the Marketplace area. We immediately started to check out the shops! We bought a pair of personalized EARS for a friend who is turning one next month (and having a Mickey themed birthday party) at the Wonderful World of Memories store. We literally went into every store in the Marketplace area. The Disney’s Days of Christmas shop is always a treat to visit – you are instantly greeted by cast members with a “Merry Christmas” upon entering – no matter what day of the year it is outside their doors. Everyday is Christmas? – yes, thank you! The store is filled to the ceiling with ornaments and Disney Christmas décor. They currently have a small Frozen themed merchandise nook off to one side of the store.
I just returned from a Mommy/Daughter weekend at the Walt Disney World Resort with my 5 year old. We had an amazing 3 days celebrating…well…EVERYTHING! When you’re at Disney, everything is a celebration. I prepared for my trip with a few accent nail decals from Jamberry of the castle (Here’s more about Jamberry’s Disney collection).
Now that I’m home, the decal is still staying strong – but I felt I needed to give the other nails a lift to bring me back to the sparkly vibe I had this past weekend. So I found some glitter nail polish by Sinful Colors in “Ice Dream” and “Love Bombs” and VIOLA! My fingertips are transporting me back!
